What you need to know before applying for a Thailand visa
Iraqi passport holders need a visa before travelling to Thailand. Safrat offers one option: a tourist visa with a 30-day stay, valid for 90 days from the issue date, single entry.
It is available to all ages with no age limit and no foreign residency requirement, and needs only three documents. The current price is shown on the card above.
The three documents required
- Passport — a clear scan of the first page with at least 6 months of validity from your travel date
- Personal photo — colour, plain white background, face centred and evenly lit, no hat or sunglasses
- National ID — clear scans of both sides, front and back are both required
No bank statement, no hotel booking, no flight ticket, no invitation letter.
What makes an image acceptable
- The full page or card including all four corners
- Natural colour, not black and white
- Every number and letter readable
- No glare, shadow or blur
Cropped or unclear images are the single most common cause of delay. Processing does not begin until all three documents are uploaded completely and in their designated fields.
Validity and stay — what the difference actually means
The visa is valid for 90 days from the issue date, so you have three months to enter Thailand.
The 30-day stay starts from your actual entry, not from the issue date.
And the visa is single entry. Leave Thailand and it is spent. Any new entry means a new application.
Processing time
Up to 10 working days. The submission day is not counted, Friday and Saturday are not counted, and the clock starts once your documents are complete.
Note the phrase "up to" — it may be issued sooner, but plan on 10 working days rather than less.
We suggest applying at least two weeks before you travel.
Is there an age restriction?
No. The Thailand visa is available to all ages with no age limit and no foreign residency requirement, and the price is the same for every traveller regardless of age.
This visa is for tourism only
The Thailand tourist visa is issued for tourism. It does not permit work, study or long-term residence.
One last thing
If the application is rejected, the processing fees paid are non-refundable.
That is why the Safrat team reviews your documents before submission. Most rejections come down to an unclear image or a missing document — and that is what we catch before it reaches the authority.
