Oman Visa for Iraqis

Choose a 10 or 30-day stay. Issued in about 3 days.

Compare Oman visa options

The same e-visa with two stay lengths. Choose by how long your trip runs.

What you need to know before applying for an Oman visa

Iraqi passport holders need an electronic visa before travelling to Oman. Safrat offers two options, and the only thing separating them is how long you may stay — not the visa type, not the processing time, not the documents.

Both are exactly the same e-visa: valid 30 days from issue, single entry, and processed in about 3 days.

Choose the 10-day stay if your trip is short, or the 30-day stay if you want more room. Current prices are shown on the cards above.

Validity and stay — what the difference actually means

The visa is valid for 30 days from the issue date. So you have one month to enter Oman, after which the visa expires even if you never used it.

The stay itself — 10 or 30 days depending on your option — starts from your actual entry, not from the issue date.

Pay particular attention to this with Oman: the validity window is only a month, which is shorter than any of our other destinations. If your travel plans are not firm, do not apply too early.

And both options are single entry. Leave Oman and the visa is spent.

The five documents required

The Oman visa asks for more than Egypt or Jordan. Here is the full list:

  • Passport — a clear scan of the first page with at least 6 months of validity
  • Personal photo — colour, plain white background, face centred and evenly lit, no hat or sunglasses
  • National ID — clear scans of both sides, front and back are both required
  • Flight ticket — showing both the outbound and return legs
  • Hotel voucher — showing the address of where you will stay in Oman

Beyond the documents, you also need an active Iraqi or Iranian phone number and your accommodation address in Oman.

If you are staying with family or friends rather than a hotel, provide the full address of the accommodation.

Approval for an Oman visa is not automatic

This is a point we would rather be straight about. Unlike Egypt and Jordan, Oman Immigration reviews each application individually.

Your occupation, job title and residency category have a direct effect on the decision. They may also request a security check or additional documents.

If an application is rejected you may apply again, but submitting similar applications one after another can lead to repeated rejection. If you are rejected once, talk to our team before reapplying.

Processing time

Around 3 days for both options. Note the word "around" — this is an estimate rather than a guarantee, because a security check or a request for additional documents can extend it.

The submission day is not counted, and Friday and Saturday are not counted either.

Even though 3 days is fast, we suggest applying at least a week before you travel — so you have room if an extra document is requested.

Travelling with children

This is an important practical condition: parents must enter Oman at the same time as the child, or before them. Not after.

For children, a scan of the Tazkira or birth certificate is required, along with the guardian's passport.

For family applications, Oman Immigration may request documents proving the relationship.

One last thing

The fee is non-refundable once the application is submitted — including if it is rejected, or if you decide not to travel.

Overstaying incurs a daily fine payable at the airport on departure. Count your departure date from your actual entry.

That is why the Safrat team reviews your documents before submission. With five documents and an approval that is not automatic, a review beforehand makes a real difference.

What are the five documents required for an Oman visa?

How long does an Oman visa take to process?

Around 3 days. This is an estimate rather than a guarantee, as Oman Immigration may request a security check or additional documents from some applicants.
