Jordan Visa for Iraqis

Four options by urgency. Same visa — you choose how long you wait.

Compare Jordan visa options

The same visa at four issuance speeds. Choose by your travel date.

What you need to know before applying for a Jordan visa

Iraqi passport holders need a visa before travelling to Jordan. Safrat offers four options — but let me clear something up straight away: all four are the same visa.

Not different types. Same document, same validity, same permitted stay, same documents required. The only thing that changes is how long you wait.

Current prices are shown on the cards above. Here is the processing time for each option:

Option Processing
20 days 20 working days
8 days 8 working days
6 days 6 working days
Next day 1 working day

All four are valid for 60 days from the issue date, allow a 30-day stay, and are single entry.

Which option to choose

Choose by your travel date, not by price. Here is a simple way to think about it:

Your trip is a month or more away

The 20-day plan. You have the time, and there is no reason to pay more.

Your booking is roughly two weeks out

The 8-day plan. This is the balance point for most people — fast enough for a normal booking, without the rush premium. It is what most of our travellers pick.

Your booking is close but not immediate

The 6-day plan. Two working days faster than the 8-day option.

Your flight is days away

The next-day plan. This plan buys you time and nothing else. Take it only if you genuinely cannot wait — the price gap between it and the other plans is real.

How working days are counted

The times quoted are working days, not calendar days, and two details matter:

  • The submission day is not counted — the clock starts the day after
  • Friday and Saturday are not counted, and the approval is issued the day after the count completes

Two examples make it clearer:

  1. A 6-day plan submitted on Sunday arrives around the end of the following week — not six calendar days later.
  2. A next-day plan submitted on Thursday is issued on Sunday, not Friday.

So if you are counting on a fast plan, count in working days rather than on your own calendar.

Validity and stay — what the difference actually means

Validity is the window in which you may enter Jordan after your visa is issued — 60 days. Stay duration is how many days you may remain inside Jordan once you have entered — 30 days.

So you have two months to pick your travel date, and the 30-day count only starts when you actually arrive.

And note: all options are single entry. Leave Jordan and the visa is spent. Any new entry means a new application.

Is there an age restriction?

No. All Jordan visa options are available to all ages, with no age limit and no foreign residency requirement. The price is the same for every traveller regardless of age.

Documents required

Just one — a clear scan of your passport's first page, with at least 6 months of validity from your travel date.

No bank statement, no hotel booking, no invitation letter, no photographs.

What makes a photo acceptable

  • The full page including all four corners
  • Natural colour, not black and white
  • Every number and letter readable
  • No glare, shadow or blur

Cropped or unclear images are the single most common cause of delay. Processing does not begin until the document is uploaded completely and in its designated field.

One last thing

If the embassy rejects the application, the processing fees paid are non-refundable.

That is why the Safrat team reviews your documents before submission. Most rejections come down to a small documentation error — and that is what we catch before it reaches the embassy.

Frequently asked questions

Do Iraqi citizens need a visa for Jordan?

Yes. Iraqi passport holders need a visa before travelling to Jordan. You can apply online through Safrat and receive the approval by email.

What is the difference between the four Jordan visa options?

All four are exactly the same tourist visa. The only difference is issuance speed. A higher price buys you time, not a different visa, longer validity or a longer stay.

Which Jordan visa option should I choose?

By your travel date: the 20-day plan at $17 if your trip is a month or more away, the 8-day plan at $52 for most normal bookings, the 6-day plan at $70 if your booking is close, and the next-day plan at $129 only if your flight is days away and waiting is not possible.

How much does a Jordan visa cost for Iraqis?

From $17 with 20 working days processing, $52 with 8 days, $70 with 6 days, and $129 with one working day. All prices include government and service fees.

How are working days counted?

The submission day is not counted, and the Friday and Saturday holidays are not counted. The approval is issued on the day after the count completes. A 6-day plan submitted on Sunday, for example, arrives around the end of the following week.

How long is a Jordan visa valid and how long can I stay?

All options are valid for 60 days from the issue date — you must enter Jordan within that window. The permitted stay is 30 days, counted from your actual entry rather than the issue date.

Is the Jordan visa single entry or multiple entry?

All options are single entry only. Once you leave Jordan the visa is void, and any new entry requires a new application.

What documents are required for a Jordan visa?

Only one: a clear scan of your passport's first page with at least 6 months of validity. No bank statement, hotel booking or invitation letter is needed.

Is there an age restriction on the Jordan visa?

No. All Jordan visa options are available to all ages with no age limit and no foreign residency requirement.

Is the fee refunded if my application is rejected?

No. If the embassy rejects the application, the fees paid are non-refundable. This is why the Safrat team reviews your documents before submission.
